Ilgın Sezer M.A., GMS-T, was born and raised in Ankara, Turkey. She received her B.A. in American Culture and Literature from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey in 2001 and earned her M.A. Communications Degree from Bethel University, St. Paul, MN in 2010.

She moved to the United States in 2002 to earn an International Marketing Diploma from U.C. Berkeley, CA.  After the completion of the program, she moved to Minnesota at the end of 2002. She earned a Master’s Degree in Communications from Bethel University and has GMS-T certification.  She is currently working as HR Compensation and Global Mobility Specialist. She taught Family and Intercultural Communication classes at Bethel University.

She also worked as a Cross-Cultural Business Communication Trainer and taught Turkish Language to expats and their families who’re assigned to work and live in Turkey.

Ilgin is married with two kids, Derin and Alaz.

Ilgin has been serving as Social Chair of the TAAM Board of Directors since 2015.
